This Is a great honest shop. They did a great reasonably priced oil change and inspection and showed me areas that needed fixing (with photos) with fair pricing. No pushy scare tactics, just clear and concise information.Will be back for sure. Thank you Chris and team!

My car was brought in for a commonly known Mazda issue on the Mazda 6 2014 touring. I had sent a link to the specific issue in question that included the exact problem and part needed. Regardless of me providing this information, I was billed a $200 fee for diagnosis. Come to find out, after diagnosis, it was the exact problem I sent them. Flash forward a week while I'm driving to work, and the car battery loses power and I have to get off the freeway to avoid an accident. I was able to re-start the car and make it to work, where it ultimately completely died. After calling the shop, they sent out a tow truck to get my car and return to the shop. I was under the impression that the shop would be covering this fee since it was clearly their fault. My car was now in worse shape than when I brought it in. Well, I was wrong and deceived by this shady company. The shop found that the battery was not secured in place with a part that was in my trunk from replacing the battery prior to me bringing the car into the shop the previous week. My car was specifically brought in for battery issues, yet they release my car to me without checking the battery is secured. If they had noticed this when it was in the week before, it could have been easily retrieved from my trunk. The shop ultimately made me pay $140 for towing and when questioning the issue, they blamed my fiance for leaving the part in the trunk, even though this was before I ever brought the car in for them to check. Do not bring your car here. They are not specialists as they claim if they can't even check if a battery is secure. I could have been in an accident on the freeway or worse due to their failure to check a basic part of a car. Also, do not have this place diagnose your car when you already know the issue. This is all a rip-off, and they should be ashamed for stealing people's money during these times. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company, and will never be back to this deceitful place of business.

The Service Manager, Sara, was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable when it came to my car’s intake information; to communicating diagnostic results. She was very clear on what was most important and WHY. They were very busy but worked with me to get my vehicle into the shop as quickly as possible so that my car was safe to drive out of town by the time I needed to leave. They also got creative in how they got parts and actually sent a runner in-person to get the parts needed rather than ordering them to ensure my car was back to me before my trip out of town. They did all of this without me having to ask, and they did it happily. I would recommend them to anybody. The rest of the staff seems happy to be there and very professional. They also have a great mascot (their dog Bowser) that is very sweet and welcoming when you get there. He wags his tail a lot and enjoys petting. They offer a ton of servicing/repair options and make it an overall great experience to work with them. I just got my car back today, and this was the second time I’ve done business with them, and both times I received the same level of service which leads me to believe they are consistent with the way they run their business. I already have an appointment with them set in a few months to get some more work done. Thank you Specialty Auto!

We dropped off our jeep during off hours. We were contacted promptly when they opened. They got us in quick. Gave us a fair quote. When they found the problem it lead them to a deeper problem. We were given a new quote. When finally done with the repair, they came in under the quoted price. All in all they were wonderful. I would definitely recommend sacramento specialty automotive to anyone!

This shop took care of my girlfriend and I’ve had my work done many times, and never have they failed me! Definitely recommend them!
